Carla was rescued in December 2019. The police handed her over to Chelo in a terrible condition: skeletal, covered in wounds and abandoned.
Since then, Carla has waited far too long.
She spent years in a boarding kennel, without a family of her own. During that time she had health problems, leishmaniasis, ear problems and, in 2025, she had to undergo surgery for a mammary tumor.
More than a year ago, we were asked for help because there was nowhere else for her to go. That is how Carla came to the Great House.
And Carla has been a wonderful surprise.
She is good, obedient, affectionate, happy and very noble. She loves people, enjoys playing and, with other dogs, when introductions are done properly, she behaves very well.
There is only one important thing: Carla needs a home without cats.
Here she is safe, cared for and loved. But the Great House should not be her final home. Carla needs a family, a house, a routine and a bed that belongs to her.
Carla was born in 2012, she is spayed, has a passport, weighs around 26 kilos and is ready to start again.
We are not looking for pity for Carla.
We are looking for an opportunity.
If you can offer her a home without cats and a life full of love, please write to us HERE . My email is v.larkhill@gmail.com
And if you cannot adopt her, share her story.
Carla has waited too long. Now she needs to start again.
