Official legal record
On 18 April 2024, the Third Section of the Provincial Court of Valencia acquitted Iván Jiménez Chacón, publicly known as Viktor Larkhill, Jairo Jiménez Chacón and Linda Mery Edwards Buttery of fraud.
The order of 22 October 2024 declares the judgment final and orders the definitive closure of the proceedings. This page records the judicial outcome of the case associated with Let’s Adopt and provides the supporting court documents.
What the court decided
The court issued its judgment after considering a preliminary legal objection raised by the defendants’ lawyers at the start of the trial. It found that the popular prosecution brought by Fundación Artemisan could not sustain these proceedings for a property offence on its own: no injured parties had been identified or joined the proceedings, and the Public Prosecutor had requested discontinuance and subsequently acquittal.
The judgment expressly acquits the three individuals named above. The Public Prosecutor’s position is recorded in the judgment’s procedural history and its reproduction of the written submissions dated 4 September 2023.
