Every so often, we encounter a case that defines who we are, a case that becomes a landmark for our mission. Usually, these are animals rescued from unimaginable situations, who suffer severe injuries and endure tremendous pain. Animals that have faced the worst, yet continue to fight with every bit of strength they have. Animals like Ringo.
Ringo was rescued just days ago near Seville, literally from the brink of death. We found him severely dehydrated, his body riddled with worms and maggots devouring his open wounds. It was a heartbreaking, horrific sight. But he fought, and he survived those critical first hours thanks to emergency care at a local hospital.
Now Ringo is here with us, at Isidoro’s hospital in Valencia, receiving the specialized, intensive care he desperately needs. The injuries he has sustained are shocking, the worst of the worst. Yesterday’s video captured the heartbreaking extent of his suffering. Today’s update will show you how he’s being cared for and why your support is crucial right now.
Ringo’s journey to recovery is complicated. He’s tested positive for Leishmaniasis and Anaplasmosis, both severe and challenging illnesses. His body is battling significant anaemia, and he requires daily wound care and advanced treatments like laser therapy and ozone application to regenerate his severely damaged skin.
We are doing absolutely everything we can, but we cannot do this alone. Ringo needs your help. Your support will provide Ringo with the medical treatment, pain relief, and ongoing specialized care necessary to help him heal and thrive again.
Please join us in this fight, your donation, big or small, can save Ringo.
Thank you
