The Pound Was Her Death Sentence

Look at her. Those ears. That face.
Fluffy is unforgettable.

She was abandoned. We don’t know if it was because the holidays came, or because her family didn’t want to deal with a broken leg.
What we do know is this: they left her at the pound. And there, she was going to die.

A group of kindhearted local rescuers pulled her out just in time. But on their own, they couldn’t afford the surgery she desperately needed. They didn’t have access to the right vets or the funds to make it happen.

So they called us.

Yesterday, I showed you her X-ray, that sharp bone protruding like a needle, the kind of fracture that makes you gasp. Today, I can tell you the surgery is ready to go:
• She’s been shaved and prepped.
• Her bloodwork is done and safe for anesthesia.
• The metal plate to fix her femur is waiting.
• The surgeon is booked for tomorrow at 10 a.m.

Everything is in place… except the funds.

Right now, we’re short. Maybe it’s because it’s August. Maybe people are away. But Fluffy can’t wait for the perfect time. Every day with that fracture is pain, risk, and a step closer to a life she will lose.

I know I ask often. And yes, so many of our dogs come to us broken. But that’s why we exist. Without us, without you, dogs like Fluffy die in pounds, invisible and unwanted. Nobody adopts a dog with a fracture like this.

We’ve saved thousands together. Let’s do it again, for her.

???? Surgery tomorrow. She needs us today.
Please, donate now and be part of her rescue. Every gift matters.
