This year has been incredibly hard, and it’s not over yet.
You may remember Linda, the little dog abandoned by her family when she was diagnosed with mammary cancer. We treated her, she recovered, and she’s been doing well… until a few days ago.
One of her teeth started bleeding. It didn’t make sense. We did a biopsy.
It’s a tumour.
After scans and tests, Dr. Jorge Llinás confirmed what we feared: Linda needs an urgent hemimaxillectomy, the removal of part of her jaw. It’s the only way to stop the cancer from spreading and save her life.
There is no waiting. No alternative.
I know it’s the end of the year. I know we’re already overwhelmed with vet bills. But cancer doesn’t wait, and Linda doesn’t deserve to die like this.
