I’m recording this from home. I’m injured and in pain after an accident, but I needed to show you this — because this is why Let’s Adopt exists.
This is Dama.
A hunting dog abandoned when she stopped being “useful.”
Sick, terrified, anaemic, covered in wounds, vomiting, dehydrated, and eaten alive by Leishmaniasis.
She arrived at our hospital right at the limit.
We treated her step by step: fluids, medication, cleaning her wounds, fighting infections, helping her trust again.
Slowly, Dama came back to life.
And then… a miracle.
A family in the Netherlands fell in love with her.
She travelled north and now lives in peace, loved, sleeping on a sofa instead of the cold ground.
Dama is alive today because you made it possible.
But right now we are in trouble.
We haven’t been able to rescue for a month because we cannot pay our vet bills.
Until we clear this debt, we cannot say yes to the next Dama.
