Aida spent three days in a field with a mangled paw

Aida is barely a year old. By the time we were alerted, she had spent three days injured in a field. There was dead tissue on her paw and maggots in the wound. It is hard to think about the hours she spent there and the pain she was enduring.

We took her to a vet and then to the hospital. We needed to understand the extent of the damage and what we could do for her.

The vets have confirmed that her paw cannot be saved. Aida needs to have her leg amputated.

The damage is irreversible. We now need to cover her surgery, her hospital stay and the care she will need to recover.

Please donate to help Aida. We need your support to cover her treatment.

We suspect she may have been caught in a trap, although we cannot yet confirm what happened to her. What we do know is that she needs this operation, and that her recovery will require ongoing care after surgery.

Look at her in the photograph. She is lying on the examination table, her paw bandaged and her head resting, looking at the camera. She is so young. We want to see her leave the hospital, learn to walk on three legs and enjoy all the years she should have ahead of her.

Your donation will help us cover Aida’s veterinary care and surgery, support her rehabilitation and give her a wonderful life.

Give whatever you can. Every donation helps.

We are by her side. With your support, we can be there throughout her recovery and give her the care she needs.

Donate now for her surgery. Help us save Aida.
