A week ago Frodo had us very worried because he couldn’t breathe. He was suffering from aspiration pneumonia, which was persistently affecting him.
We have changed the type of food he is eating and are treating him as if he had mega-oesophagus, a condition where the oesophagus itself does not push food down and dogs have to be in a vertical position when they eat, so that the food reaches the stomach with the help of gravity.
So far it’s working! He has also gained half a kilo in weight in just 10 days… so for the time being all is well.
