I’m writing this from home, recovering from a whirlwind trip to Paris to take Iris to her new family.
You may remember the condition in which we rescued her. It was terrible. Her body told the story of a sweet dog who had never experienced the peace, safety and affection she deserved.
Iris came to us with leishmaniasis and a torn cruciate ligament. She needed treatment, surgery, rehabilitation and time. After almost a year with us, her transformation is extraordinary.
Today, Iris is healthy, confident and incredibly beautiful.
Her adopters are old friends of ours. Six years ago, they adopted Sandro, one of our mastiffs. We remained close throughout his life, and after he died of old age, they wanted to adopt from us again.
Then they saw Iris.
She now lives in a beautiful home surrounded by nature, just outside Paris. She has a loving family, other dogs for company and a forest practically beside her front door.
Please watch this video. It captures the final chapter of Iris’s rescue and shows exactly what Let’s Adopt is about: finding animals in desperate situations, giving them the treatment and time they need, and taking them all the way to the life we promised them.
None of this happens without you.
A one-time donation helps us rescue and treat an animal today. Monthly donations give us the stability to continue tomorrow.
Please help us make the next rescue possible.
