Casey Was Going to Be Euthanized. Today She Is Looking for a Family
On September 8, I received an urgent email: a dog was going to be euthanized that same afternoon because her owner, an elderly man who was seriously ill, could no longer care for her.
The family had spent months trying to find a solution. Nobody had space.
Some volunteers managed to take her in temporarily, and I got on the road to collect her.
When I met Casey, I found a funny, affectionate dog who was completely confused by everything that was happening. We brought her to the Great House, where she adapted perfectly.
Today we know that Casey is a wonderful dog. She gets along very well with other dogs, enjoys being around people and could be an amazing companion for a family.
There is just one important condition: she cannot live with cats.
We stopped her story from ending that day. Now Casey needs a permanent home.
