Help Us Save Heidi

A few months ago, Heidi lost everything.

After years of domestic violence, her owner was left without a stable home and could no longer care for the animals she loved. Asking us to take them was not abandonment. It was an act of sacrifice.

When Heidi arrived, she was seriously ill with untreated ehrlichiosis. She was weak, underweight and far too fragile for surgery.

We treated the infection and waited for her body to recover.

Then we found the mammary tumours.

Today, Heidi is finally strong enough to undergo the operation she needs. She will be spayed and the tumours will be removed during the same procedure.

In the video, you will see her wearing a muzzle. Heidi is not aggressive. She is simply terrified at the veterinary hospital, and the muzzle was used as a precaution.

The first X-ray was encouraging. Her lungs appear clear, but the tumours cannot be left untreated. They may continue growing, spread and eventually kill her.

Heidi has already survived illness, fear and the loss of her family.

Now she needs us to finish her rescue.

Please donate and help us pay for her surgery, hospitalization and recovery.
