Something terrible has happened to Sebastián. Sebastián fell from the couch and broke his back!
He began trembling in pain and could barely move. We rushed him to Juan, our veterinarian, where X-rays revealed a compression fracture in his spine.
The injury is unstable. If the fractured vertebra moves further, it could cause catastrophic damage to his spinal cord.
After Juan’s examination, we immediately transferred Sebastián to a specialist trauma hospital, where neurologists and surgeons are now assessing how to treat him. He needs advanced tests, hospitalization, intensive pain relief and possibly spinal surgery.
Sebastián’s life now depends on the success of our efforts.
We did not wait to raise the money before moving him. We acted because he could not wait. But specialist treatment is extraordinarily expensive, and we cannot continue without your help.
Six months ago, Sebastián lost his owner and was left behind inside a house with three other dogs. We rescued them all and promised they would never be abandoned again.
