Today we had to take Liska back to the hospital.
The weekend was awful. She barely moved. She didn’t want to eat. She didn’t drink. I had to feed her myself, and even then it felt like we were just trying to get through hour by hour.
This morning she was still very low. Her blood levels are not terrible, which is good, but that doesn’t change what we are seeing in front of us. She is not well. She is weak, quiet, and something is clearly wrong.
So we brought her in for a CT scan.
We already know there is metastasis. We were preparing to face that with chemotherapy. But now we are worried there may be something else, something we have not seen yet. If the cancer has reached her brain, then the whole situation changes.
Right now we are waiting for the results.
I don’t know what they are going to tell us. I only know that Liska needs us today, and we have to be here for her.
