Gollum’s knee was completely displaced. The patella was sitting outside the groove where it belongs, causing pain and instability. During surgery, the groove was deepened, the tibial tuberosity repositioned and secured with a plate, and the leg properly aligned.
His first limb, which we repaired earlier, healed perfectly. We expect the same result here. The X-rays are clear. The implants are stable. The prognosis is very good.
Two days before this operation, we were still figuring out how to cover it.
