Hi, and thank you so much for watching Iris’s video yesterday.
Iris is special for many reasons. Her name alone is beautiful, and so many of you told me how much the song Iris means to you. But above all, Iris is special because she is our Christmas rescue.
As you know, Let’s Adopt is going through a very difficult moment. We are struggling with our vet bills, and taking on another rescue right now was the last thing we should have done. But it was Christmas, and someone wrote to me saying they had just rescued a dog who was about to die.
I couldn’t say no.
So Iris is now at the hospital. Her treatment has started, and although it will take time, we can already see small signs that she’s feeling a little better.
Iris is being cared for by Isidor and the team.
Blood transfusions are done.
Leishmaniasis treatment has begun.
Surgery is already being planned for after Christmas.
And none of this would be possible without you.
