Prince has come so far since the day he arrived in horrific condition, most of the skin on his back peeled away, muscle exposed, his life hanging by a thread.
Thanks to our veterinary team and this incredible community, he has survived. And now he is strong enough to face the next critical step: surgery.
Tomorrow, Prince will go into the operating room. The plan is to close the wound on his back using a skin flap, covering the exposed muscle and finally giving him the chance to heal. It will be a complex procedure. If it cannot all be closed at once, it will be done in stages. But tomorrow is the day his fight truly changes direction.
Today we are preparing him, running blood tests, placing IV lines, checking his heart, making sure every detail is right. Tomorrow, he will face surgery.
