I need to tell you about Snowflake. He was run over by a car. His head was smashed, his palate shattered, his small body broken.
At a local clinic they tried to “fix” him with staples and plates. It failed. Infection spread. His suffering only grew.
When he finally reached us, he was frail, dehydrated, and nothing but skin and bones. He was too weak to eat, so we placed a feeding tube. His bloodwork showed anaemia, massive infection, and severe muscle loss. His jaw had been badly set, one side higher than the other.
This is Snowflake’s reality. And yet, he is still alive. Which means there is hope.
