I am writing to you from the hospital. And the truth is, we have a serious problem.
This is Molly. One of our most beautiful and beloved rescues.
She was found two years ago in the middle of a field, her leg broken. The rescue was dramatic. We took her in, we fixed the leg, but the truth is that Molly’s journey has never been simple. There were spinal issues, there was osteoarthritis. And through it all, we have cared for her. Quietly, consistently, year after year.
But today, Molly is in crisis.
Yesterday, she vomited because of her medication. She inhaled some of it back into her lungs. And now, she has aspiration pneumonia. She is in intensive care, and the risk is very high.
Look at her face. You can see it yourself. Molly is fighting for her life.
This is not something we can postpone. Pneumonia is unforgiving. Infections in the lungs can take a life in hours. She is fragile. She is struggling.
We are doing everything possible, the oxygen, the antibiotics, the care she needs minute by minute. But we cannot do this alone.
Molly is special. Not because of her beauty. Not because of her story. But because of the way she has fought through everything life has thrown at her. She deserves a chance. And the truth is, that chance is only possible because of you.
Without you, there is no intensive care. Without you, there is no treatment. Without you, there is no tomorrow for Molly.
