Sadly, it is not uncommon for heroic action to later fall under scrutiny and become victim of a smear campaign. True to form, the BBC has announced that Nowzad, the animal rescue that successfully brought its animals and Afghan rescue team out of danger in Kabul, is being investigated by the UK Charity Commission, despite their clearly transparent fundraising campaign!
