Three weeks ago, we rescued Chico—a dog whose odds were stacked against him from the very beginning. Chico was diagnosed with not just one but THREE life-threatening diseases: leishmaniasis, ehrlichiosis, and anaplasmosis.
From day one, we knew this was going to be a complex and challenging case, but we refused to give up on him. So far, Chico has already received two blood transfusions. Thankfully, he’s starting to feel better, and the joy in his eyes is undeniable. However, despite his improving spirits, the cold, hard fact remains: Chico is still dealing with anemia.
Over this coming weekend, CHICO WILL UNDERGO ANOTHER CRUCIAL BLOOD TRANSFUSION and depending on his recovery, possibly another one early next week. He’s looking better, but the fight is far from over.
Chico’s treatment is ongoing, intensive, and costly. We are rallying for donations to continue this uphill battle against time and disease.
