Today we are grieving. Early this morning, Hannibal’s body shut down. Our hearts are broken. We wanted to show you Hannibal in a loving home, curled up on a sofa, running happily on a beach, growing old in comfort. None of this will happen now. We were trying to discover why his immune system was refusing to produce platelets and keeping him alive with blood transfusions. Our only consolation is our knowledge that he was happy, that our care had made him happy… if only for a short time.
Rest in peace, Hannibal. You were dearly loved.

For you Hannibal who got to see the very worst of humanity but also the very BEST…..I simply cannot understand the WHY 😔
Thank you for all the wonderful work you do, sending much strength and love from Australia 🇦🇺
My donation is in your memory as you’ve left a lasting impression in my heart even though we’ve known you only a short time RIP beautiful Hannibal 😔
I’ve been checking daily on Hannibal, always hoping for one of your miracles. I am now in tears reading that he did not make it. Viktor, you and your volunteers, along with the doctors and staff at the hospital, are so kind and compassionate. That is so very rare these days. There are too many neglected, brutalized animals at the mercy of humans and it is wonderful to know that a few make it into your care. I know you love Hannibal and did all that you could for him. It just was not meant to be. But you gave him the first kindness and love he has ever known and he loved you in return. May he run happily with so many others on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge. Thank you for what you do.
