Gordy was found in a garbage container, with her throat cut. She was immediately taken to a vet who carefully stitched her wound. The wound closed well, but Gordy couldn´t swallow; her oesophagus is blocked and food only reaches the stomach in tiny drops.
Gordy hardly receives enough food to survive. She couldn´t hold any food and was at high risk of aspiration-induced pneumonia. She was only a baby and her condition was heart breaking. She had a cardiac condition known as PERSISTENT AORTIC ARCH, which strangled the oesophagus at the bottom of her heart and is generating megaoesophagus.DONATE, help us continue to save animals like Gordy.
