Seven hours… that’s how long Winston’s surgery was, a long time for a puppy and a long time for his surgeon. The first plate wasn’t adapting correctly, so they used a second silver-coated titanium plate and didn’t stop until it fit perfectly! It was important to get it right! Now comes the post-op period. Fingers crossed there are no further problems.

I just donated what I could – a bit for Lucky and some for Winston. So many of your stories upset me greatly, but I think Winston’s tragic consequences broke my heart more than others. He is so young, such an innocent and gentle soul. I know he is getting better care than he could get almost anywhere else – not to mention the loving care all of your dogs receive.
