I have bad news…

Hi, it’s been a very long weekend. Last Friday, we updated you on Kiwi’s condition, and I informed you that it was really complicated. We had just given him a blood transfusion, and I told you that we were going to continue fighting for him, and that’s what we did. Let me show you what we have done over the weekend.

I’m going to be completely honest here. Kiwi’s situation is grave. It’s dire, and I’m afraid we may have to let him go.

I don’t know what to say. Really. When we receive a request for help, animals like Kiwi have to be treated. Very often they make it, but sometimes they don’t.

It is now midday here in Spain on Monday. This afternoon, I’m going to discuss with Isidor, and we’re going to make a decision.

And whatever it will be, it will be the best for Kiwi. I promise you that.

Lots of love, and I will update you tomorrow

  1. My heart is very heavy but he is at peace, I would like to share something with you. From Kiwi and so many others you tried to save.
    ‘Time to say goodbye’
When I grow ill and very weak
And because of this I always sleep
Will you do what must be done, and know this battle can’t be won
I understand how sad you’ll be but do what you need to do for me
You don’t want me to suffer so when it’s time please let me go
You took me where my needs were tend and stayed with me until the end.
You held me firm and spoke to me until my eyes could no longer see
In time you will agree it was a kindness you all did for me
Don’t grieve that it was up to you to decide what what to do
Although my tail it’s last has waved
From pain and suffering I have been saved.

Thank you all so very much
    Kiwi

Viktor, your love and perseverance for these dogs is unbelievably amazing. I donate as I can because each dog is a separate person. They are each as valuable and worthy as anyone. I have followed you for years, and will continue to do so. All my love.

  3. I’M HEARTBROKEN FOR KIWI. HE LOOKS LIKE HE’S IN A LOT OF PAIN AND LOOKS LIKE HE JUST WANTS TO BE LET GO. IF HE CAN’T BE HELPED ANYMORE, I WOULD LIKE HIM TO BE RELIEVED OF HIS MISERY. I DON’T WANT HIM TO DIE SLOWLY IN A GREAT OF PAIN. I THINK THAT WOULD BE CRUEL AND HE’S BEEN SUFFERING FOR A WHILE NOW. IF THERE TRULY IS NOTHING THAT CAN HELP HIM, I THINK HE NEEDS TO BE RELIEVED FROM ALL HIS PAIN AND SUFFERING.

WE LOVE YOU KIWI. YOU WILL ALWAYS REMAIN IN OUR HEARTS.

You already have shown this and it was at the point that it looked like Kiwi would have to be put down. He was so weak and probably should have been put down.
Why are you not showing an update? Was he laid to rest? Are you still doing blood transfusion?
