Chico is in critical condition

It is with a heavy heart that I have to share some distressing news about Chico, he is currently in critical condition. Just last weekend, Chico was doing much better clinically and was even able to spend time at home with Aitana, one of our veterinary assistants. He had a good weekend and appeared to be in stable condition.

However, upon his return to the hospital on Monday and after undergoing control analytics, we discovered two significant issues. First, his red blood cell count has dropped alarmingly, indicating that he continues to lose blood through his stool. Second, there are signs pointing toward renal failure.

Chico is now in intensive care, and we are doing everything in our power to save him. Today, he received a blood transfusion, and it’s very likely that he will need another one tomorrow.

    Dear team, Chico’s saviors, I had hoped Chicolato would have more time with improving health. Though I am not surprised by these new complications in his health after the severity of his condition when rescued. Blessing and love for everyone in his team. Chico is a special soul.
