Dickens’s story is long and complicated. One of our most abused rescues, he went through numerous surgeries. Maggots were eating him alive. He lost his tail and the use of his rear legs, only his front legs could be saved. After being abandoned by his initial adopters, he came back to us. It was truly heart-breaking. Now we know that Dickens will be with us for the rest of his life. Doubly incontinent, his care is intense, and he needs frequent veterinary treatment, but he has found his happy place with us at the Great House. Dickens is just one of the reasons that we need you to come on board.
