Exhausted, hungry, with hardly enough strength to breathe, that was SWEETIE, as she dragged herself along the highway.
Dehydrated, skin and bone, this little kitty is only six months old and weighs little more than 2 pounds! Never before had we seen such deterioration… SWEETIE does not have the strength to stand and only occasionally manages to raise her head, making a huge effort.
This morning SWEETIE was taken urgently to our hospital, where she was admitted to the ICU. The initial neurological exam is not sufficient to reach a definitive diagnosis.
We have performed an ultrasound and different tests to tell us whether SWEETIE’s condition is due to an infectious process. The priority right now is to stabilise her, improve her blood tests and perform an MRI.
We can’t even imagine what Sweetie has been through. She deserves much more …
P.S. When she has recovered, SWEETIE will need a wonderful home where she can live the life she deserves. If you think your family could give her what she needs, write to me to firstname.lastname@example.org and send me pictures of your animals.
