Joey arrived to us this morning inside a cardboard box. His family brought him to the hospital to be euthanised.
They tell us that, all of a sudden, Joey stopped being able to walk and would scream in pain when they tried to touch him. Their vet told them that he probably had some kind of spinal damage and that the best option would be to euthanize him.
And so, during the weekend they decided that this would be the best option.
The family was given multiple options and possibilities to save him but they were not interested in hearing any. They had made up their mind, and they wouldn´t consider any alternative or possible treatment.
To them, Joey was just an old broken toy… something to be discarded.
It was at that point that we were asked for help, so I spoke to the family and convinced them to release Joey to us, which they did without asking many questions.
PLEASE WATCH JOEY´S RESCUE VIDEO…
We immediately performed an MR which confirmed our suspicion… Joey has a fracture on C3 vertebra, it´s not a new one. They lied to us. Who knows how long has Joey been in this condition….
We really don´t want Joey to suffer any longer. Joey´s condition is terrible, but the longer it takes the worst he´s going to get..
P.S. After he is completely recovered, JOEY is going to need an amazing home, a home where he will be able to spend the rest of his life in peace, surrounded by love.
