I received a call, local police had found a severely injured cat trying to crawl the road towards the curb. He had already been hit by a car, he was barely able to move, but through sheer determination, being only able to use one of his legs, he was inching and getting out of the way.

It was HEARTBREAKING. The Police officers stopped, picked him up and held him in their arms on the way to the hospital.

When police finds an injured cat the protocol to follow is to take the animal to Animal Control who, more often than not, will end up destroying him.

But POLICE (that´s the name we´ve given him in honor of his saviours), has been lucky this time. One of the officers is a great animal lover and follows our page. He knew our hospital. He refused to let this baby die…

POLICE is a young Maine Coon, still growing… he´s magnificent.

P.S. After he is completely recovered, POLICE is going to need an amazing home, a home where he will be able to have a wonderful, extraordinary life. Please write to me on v.larkhill@gmail.com including pictures of your current animals if you believe you are that family.

  • What a beautiful boy. His coat looks in far too good a condition to be a stray. Do you think he’s a lost family pet, Viktor? And does he have a problem with his eyes? So glad the Police Officer alerted you to him. At least he’s in the best care possible.
